Speedball

3D multimedia game that allows participants to interact with a computer graphic application (game) through a real snowboard table captured by a multiplayer engine.

• This is a 3-D game (individual or multiplayer) that takes place on a specially designed 3-D slalom slope. Participants face a series of challenges on the mountain slopes, avoiding flags and catching bonus points. The system is based on boards similar to real snowboards.

• Participants use a real snowboard equipped with sensors and monitors. To advance, players move their legs as if they were in a real snowboard race. A proprietary multiplayer engine connected to the board captures the intensity of their movements and the game application processes these movements assigning them to the speed of their animated characters and making them advance towards the finish line.
