July 2009 - Argentina
The news channel C5N contacted SIA Interactive to request a dynamic solution for the Argentine elections scheduled for June 28th. The channel wanted to present the election results as they became available in a novel, dynamic way.
SIA Interactive installed a touch screen that allowed users to interact with digital contents in real time; another advantage to the technology is that it could be used by several people simultaneously. This development is quite similar to the technology used for Microsoft Surface, though SIA’s solution offers an additional advantage: it is scalable and can be used to generate multitouch screens more than 10 meters wide.
Using this, journalists could control the different applications with their fingertips. One application displayed the country map and the journalist could select a province and choose a color for the political party currently in the lead.
The system also allowed the user to see the pictures of the candidates in each province, move them, modify their size and enter the latest numbers as they came in, among other functions.
SIA Multitouch Wall TV also includes video reproduction; videos can be enlarged, shrunk or moved around the screen according to what the user wants to display at any given point; texts can also be added to the videos.
