March 2008 – Frisco, Colorado, USA
During the winter months in the United States, Suzuki was seeking an original way to promote its brand in the city of Frisco, Colorado. To achieve the company’s goal, SIA Interactive implemented a steps race called Suzuki Running.
The solution consisted of a race set in the great outdoors, with a snow-covered background that got participants in the winter spirit.
Players had to run in place on a dance platform designed to detect movements; a 3-D character on a flat screen then could be seen running in accordance with participant’s movements. Onscreen characters raced as fast as participants moved through a racing circuit that displayed Suzuki ads.
The booth was a big hit and attracted many visitors who came to enjoy the game time and again, increasing the brand’s presence in a novel and entertaining way.
“SIA Interactive’s game attracted many participants who had a great time and it allowed us to strengthen the brand’s presence in the region. The response highly exceeded our expectations and we hope that it will help us to attract new clients.”
