April 2006 - USA
Arcor is the world leader in candy production, and it also manufactures an array of sweets, chocolates, cookies, crackers and other food products. In the month of March, the firm held a corporate event for employees hailing from offices in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, USA, Canada and Europe. The event included a training session on how to set up quiosk shelves. The goals of the event included employee motivation, training and integration.
In order to make the training sessions more entertaining and innovative, the company asked SIA Interactive to develop a 3D system in which products pass on a conveyor belt and participants must place them on the correct spot on the shelf. The system then informs participants which products have been correctly placed and which have not, displaying the correct exhibition based on the company’s own merchandising criteria.
The game was easy to install and user friendly. Thus, all of the client’s goals were fulfilled.
“We believe that mechanisms of this kind directly affect learning. If our training sessions are fun and they incorporate the point we need to work on, we are sure they will be more effective. SIA’s development fully met our objectives in terms of the quality of the development and the equipment operations. We would like to thank SIA for doing such an excellent job”.
