For the past 14 years, UNICEF has aired the program Un Sol para los Chicos on Channel 13. This year, the program was hosted by clown Piñón Fijo and television hostess Ernestina Pais. The show's goal is to raise funds for UNICEF projects for children. This year, the program raised more than 2.5 million pesos.
Like in the 13 previous editions, SIA was again present with interactive games played by celebrities and by television viewers who called in to participate. One of the technologies utilized this year was SIA-iTV; by decoding phone tones and turning them into digital signals, this technology allowed the public to play at home by using their telephone keyboard.
During the program, celebrities and viewers played the following games:
- Channel 13 Trivia
- Frávega Trivia
- UNICEF bicycles with SIA-iTV
- Banco Itaú tennis with a tracker in the racket
- Pampers Pacman
- Poett juggling
- Repsol-YPF TC MultiPlayer Race
In addition, SIA implemented the solution that was used for the raffle at the end of the program. The drawing involved all callers who made donations and it allowed UNICEF to display the total funds raised this year in comparison to the 2004 edition.
