SIA Mexico develops the interactive
game Make a Date with Pantene® for a promotional campaign
begun by the company. The game allows you to personalize an onscreen character
and then dress the character for 3 different events.
July 2004 – Mexico.
With an extensive campaign that includes TV, radio, press and billboards,
Procter & Gamble Mexico launched the promotion “Make a Date
with Pantene®” on 5 July. The promotion will last through mid-August.
After signing up on the Pantene® website, http://www.pantene.com.mx, participants can play the game designed by SIA Mexico. The game has 3 different parts.
First, players personalize the image of an onscreen model, choosing from a series of options on hair color, eye color, skin color and hair type and length.
The character then visits 4 different rooms (Hair Spa Pantene®, Beauty Salon, Clothing Store and Accessory Boutique), where she can purchase products and services with a set quantity of virtual money (5,000 pesos) to obtain her wardrobe.
In the final part of the game, the character has three dates (breakfast with in-laws, an open air wedding with the family, and a dance at a popular disco) and she must dress accordingly with the items obtained in the shops.
Once finished, the player sends in their models.
When the promotion ends, a panel will choose the 5 top models. The winners will take home 30,000 pesos each
and a change in their image.
