As part of the Car Show held in Ifema from
21 to 30 May, Toyota's agency Last Lap called upon SIA
Spain to develop two dance platforms and two Virtual Penalty Games.
May 2004 - Madrid, Spain.
The International Automobile Hall is among the five most famous centers
worldwide. This year, there was a record audience: nearly one million
visitors came to see the cars on display.
Toyota, a sponsor of Valencia
F.C. and the Spanish Soccer Team, set up an impressive stand with
soccer as its principal theme.
SIA Spain set up two different dance games and two podiums with Virtual
Penalty Games at the Toyota stand.
The dance games are based on the
well-known platforms that have become quite popular among adolescents.
In this game, participants accompany their dancing with a 3-D soccer
game on screen. By stepping in all the right places, players try to
score a goal.
In the Virtual Penalty Game, participants don a virtual reality helmet
and sensor and are immersed in a soccer stadium. The goal of the game
is to beat the goalie and score a penalty shot.
The games were two of the principal attractions at the show, and there
were long lines of visitors waiting to play.
"From the very first moment, we supposed that SIA Spain had the technological
capacity, creativity, and capable personnel we were seeking, since
we had seen some of their work at other events. The results of this
show confirmed our prediction".
