This traveling promotion took place in the cities of Guadalajara
and Mexico City from 19 September through 12 October. The
game was played on 20 interactive kiosks (with steering wheels)
that were set up at different branches of the supermarket
chain. The purchase of Wonder products enabled shoppers to
participate.
The game consists of a Formula Cart race, in which participants
collect the greatest number of Wonder products ("bonuses")
possible throughout the race. The Wonder products appear on
the side of the racetrack. After one lap around the track,
the points total is based on the time spent in the race and
the number of Wonder products picked up along the way.
All participants received a promotional give just for participating.
In addition, a ranking of players with the highest scores
was calculated every two weeks; this ranking included the
player's score plus a quantity of initial points that varied
according to the purchase amount. Each participant was assigned
an ID, so that he/she could collect more points in each consecutive
game. Every two weeks, a Sony Wega 14" TV was awarded to the
player with the highest ranking.
"We are really excited about games at sales points. This is
a great way to thank our customers for their purchases. In
this case, more than 5,000 people participated in just four
weekends".
